For those of you who don't know, I host an EPIC Mastermind four times per year.
I call it Symposia and, man does it live up to its name.
The most brilliant thought leaders participate in the sharing of knowledge.
There is inspiration, there is growth, and there is fun. There are always touching moments that profoundly transform everyone in the room.
The last weekend in January, I joined 20 powerful entrepreneurs as we journeyed into the long-weekend. (Don't worry everyone was tested and COVID-free!)
As I approached the multi-million dollar oasis that would be "home" for the next 5 days, I couldn't help but be in awe of my life. I was overcome with gratitude.
I mean, this place was UNBELIEVABLE. 13 bathrooms, 10 bedrooms, 5 car garage, 3 kitchens... and a partridge in a pear tree ;)
Seriously though, the spectacular estate perched on Lake Travis just outside Austin, TX set the stage for a weekend I will never forget.
I have compiled my 10 takeaways from the event. Hopefully the highlights for me will provide value for you.
1) Power of Beauty:
I said so much about this above, but let me distill it down for you: Beautiful environments inspire beautiful people!
Although we have different definitions of beauty, there is no doubt that meeting the physical demands of beauty in any culture can be life-changing!
Anything can be built on the presence of beauty: our career, marriage, and relationships!
And no, it's not just about physical beauty.
Go and discover your inner beauty. That will affect all aspects of your life as well!
I challenge you to think about the last time you were in a beautiful environment- how did it make you feel? Were you inspired? Did you feel energized? Make note of how your environment impacted you.
2) Power of Declaration:
There is tremendous power in clearly saying what we want in our lives. That power increases tremendously when spoken in front of people who can testify our words.
Witnessing so many vulnerable testimonies not only brought me to tears, but also inspired me even more to continue on my journey of uplifting and pulling out the gifts that I see in others.
To declare something for yourself is the creative act of making things possible and real by giving them a place in our conversations with others.
I challenge you to make a personal declaration today.
3) Power of Being Seen:
When you have someone who sees the real you, behind and beneath all of your coping and soothing, that's how to be seen!
Someone who sees you as you are in the world and as you are in your soul!
Never underestimate the power of being seen; it's hard to keep working against yourself when someone notices and loves you as you are!
4) Power of Collaboration:
Symposia was filled with collaborations- on ideas, on projects, on problem-solving...
Cоllаbоrаtіоn іѕ thе kеу to your success.
Think of the progress you can make alone. Now think of the exponential progress potential you could have by collaborating with like-minded people.
It's important to know what you'd like to fulfill and to use your resources to reach a goal.
Whether it's in life, business, or managing your career, collaboration is a crucial factor in your success.
I challenge you to think of who, in your life, you can offer value to through collaboration.
5) Power of the Easy Irresistible Offer:
I guided the Symposia mastermind members through an exercise exploring their current sales offerings.
Many of these successful entrepreneurs struggled to succinctly identify their strongest offer.
I see this over and over again.
Your business's lifeblood is your ability to sell a product or service, but many entrepreneurs struggle to craft THE offer that sells itself.
I call this the Irresistible Offer.
To make a compelling offer, you need to know your customer intimately and demonstrate how the offer benefits far exceed the perceived cost.
Make them an offer they can't refuse ;)
I challenge you to answer this question: What is YOUR Irresistible Offer? If you can't answer the question easily, send me a DM on Instagram and I'll send you over some resources.
6) Power of Connection:
We all know that comforting feeling when we are physically embraced, emotionally understood, and feeling heard and supported by the people we love.
That power of connection is so vital in keeping our overall emotional and physical health!
But what about connection in business? Isn't that equally important?
The answer is YES!
The Symposia retreat was filled with new and deepening connections.
The camaraderie within the group strengthened alongside the breakthroughs that were happening.
This is no coincidence.
I challenge you to reach out to one person today (either personally or professionally).
Focus on staying deeply present and connected.
7) Power of Fun:
You can earn many things in life: money, friends and good relationships.
And fun is something you can earn too!
Work hard, but never forget to bring your life some fun!
A vacation with family and friends, a meaningful conversation, or learning new things. All of these can be your fun.
It's up to you!
There was a lot of learning at the Symposia retreat, but there was equal amounts of fun!
I'd say I quite enjoyed smoking a cigar in the hot tub, overlooking Lake Travis.
I challenge you to do something that brings you joy. Even if it's just giving a listen to your favorite song!
8) Power of Belief:
The Power of Belief grants the highest levels of performance.
To achieve success at anything in your life, you need to perform with beliefs.
What you believe determines what you do, and what you do defines what you achieve.
It's that simple.
When your belief is powerful, you will perform smarter, better, and with greater resilience.
And yes, this is true everywhere!
9) Power of Strategy:
A strategy is how you get something done, whether you are doing the work or someone else is doing it.
Your strategy can be your approach; it is the intelligent way you go about reaching a goal with the least effort, time, or even cost.
Much of the retreat was focused on practical strategy and I noticed something very important: strategies are as individual as the ones implementing them.
It's helpful to have a baseline to strategize from, but the most effective strategies will be customized for your specific needs and goals.
I loved customizing my baseline strategies for each mastermind member and seeing how the end result looked so different for each person.
I challenge you to think about what strategy you use to accomplish your goals.
Are you intentional with your strategy?
10) Power of Information:
Why are some people considered more significant than others? Because of what they know.
Knowledge is power, right?
We live in a world of information, in an environment where we are all in a constant search of information.
Just look at your Google searches in the last day to prove my point.
People need access to current and historical information but people also need the freedom to innovate and create new ideas.
A person who has information has the worlds greatest weapon.
I challenge you to intentionally seek out information today that could empower your business.
I hope the 10 highlights from my most recent Symposia mastermind got your juices flowing.
And I hope you say YES to my 10 challenges.
Even committing to one will transform your today... and tomorrow.
Wishing you all of your desired success in life!
